E-Books

Once you've finished your book (and hopefully had me edit it for you), you'll need to publish it.  One of your best options these days is to publish an e-book.  E-books will pay you much higher royalties than paper books, and they never go out of print.

I recommend using Smashwords to distribute your e-book, because they'll distribute it to all the major e-book vendors: Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Sony, and Diesel.  Publish via Smashwords, and you'll only have to format your book once.  Smashwords will take care of the rest.

Books submitted to me for e-book formatting should be in Word or OpenOffice format.  Images are supported, but fancy formatting (tables, columns, etc.) generally doesn't translate well to e-book format; straight text as in a novel works best.  When uploading your book to Smashwords, you'll need to have a cover image at least 600 pixels tall.  A great place to find an image for your cover is Dreamstime.  Once you've uploaded your book, you'll also need to acquire a free ISBN number for it via your Smashwords Dashboard.

I will format short books (<25,000 words) into Smashwords Premium Catalog format for $25.00.  For works up to 100,000 words, I will format into Smashwords for $50.00.
