Mark Carter, OCT is a certified teacher in St. Catharines, Ontario. He has a Bachelors degree in Classics from Brock University, and a graduate teaching certificate from D'Youville College.
Mark is also a licensed amateur radio operator, a swordsman (foil), juggler, rock climber, and practices Taoist Tai Chi. He's also an experienced Visual Basic and Python programmer, has years of experience in tech support, and has taken courses in areas as diverse as financial planning, paralegal court procedures, special education, librarianship, and geographic information systems. He is also a member of Mensa.
In addition to teaching, Mark is heavily involved with the labour movement. He serves as President of his teachers' union Local, created their web site, serves as health and safety representative, and has been integral to revamping the Local constitution, policies and procedures, as well as collective bargaining.
